On this project we had to strip over 600 lbs of mastics and adhesives of the concrete slab! Once everything was removed and deep cleaned we were able to stain and apply a long-lasting polyaspartic topcoat.
Strip Adhesive & Mastics / Profile Concrete
We utilized several types of diamond bits and four passes with our walk behind grinders to ensure this slab was in the perfect condition for a successful final product.
Repairs
We repaired all of the cracks, pits, and breaks to ensure that this surface would be seamless, sanitary, and easy to clean
Deep Clean & Masking
Once the surface was fully prepped. We deep cleaned the concrete with our industrial vacuum systems to eliminate any contamination. We the proceeded to mask off all of the surrounding areas to prevent any damage to the customers walls, cabinets, and belongings.
Staining The Concrete
During the staining process we applied 3 coats of a solvent based stain to create a robust color pattern throughout the home. This also allowed for us to seal the concrete the same day!
Topcoat
Since this home is owned by a large family that also operates a business. They have more foot traffic that your average home. Due to this we decided to apply a polyaspartic topcoat. Not only is this topcoat more durable than traditional epoxy. It is non-porous , this prevents anything from soaking in or staining the surface, as well as making this system extremely easy to clean.
